Does Farelanes have a cancellation policy?
We believe value, not long-term contracts, should be the impetus for stickiness with our clients. Subscribers can easily cancel their membership at any time through their user profile.
Can anyone contribute rates to Farelanes?
No. Farelanes has exclusive partnerships with our data providers and strict data format requirements which eliminate duplicate, fraudulent, and ghost data to better help market participants determine THE rate for any lane in the domestic trucking market.
What types of Truckload asset rates does Farelanes provide?
Farelanes understands there is more to the market than Dry Vans, Flatbeds, and Reefers. We deliver lane prices and detailed data from settled transactions for ALL trailer types. Stretch Trailers to Sprinter vans and everything in between.
Does Farelanes' data include fuel costs?
Farelanes provides linehaul rates for Silver subscribers. Gold subscribers can see linehaul as well as lane rates, and everything in between.
What is the difference between linehaul and lane rate for a given load?
Linehaul quantifies the cost of the truck on a given lane. Lane rates lump in assessorial fees like Fuel, Lumpers, Detention, etc. In a business where operating margins are razor-thin, conflating these two metrics can be the difference between running in the green or in the red.
How do I use "Request for Quote" (RFQ
RFQ Instructions
- Click Download template on the RFQ screen.
- Open the template.xls file in Downloads directory.
- Select Enable Edit File on top.
- Add city-pair and/or zip codes to the appropriate tabs.
- Once you are finished adding data, save the file in downloads or anywhere you choose.
- Once the file is saved, Drag-and-Drop it to the Farelanes RFQ screen or click upload a file from the location you stored the edited file.
- You will see a clockwise turning wheel as the RFQ looks up all the prices.
- Once complete, a new file with lane rates will be uploaded to the Download directory just like any normal download file.
- Open newly generated file with Excel, Google Office, etc to view the results.
How do I add rates to the desktop?
Fill all fields from Equipment through Days to look back and depress the save button.
If you miss a field, you will receive an error.
You will see $ per mile $/mile and $ per load $/load as well as CI or confidence Index.

Farelanes CoPilot can upgrade to any Farelanes subscription. Check with Farelanes Customer Support for any coupons or Farelanes/Partner upgrade programs.
Does Farelanes have a cancellation policy?
Farelanes Silver is our base level web app. It’s for anyone who needs a definitive lane price right NOW.
Farelanes Gold includes all the features of FL Silver, a detailed view of all load transaction data, and charting features. If you need to know WHY and not just WHAT the cost is, Gold is for you.
Gold level load optics allow users to see detailed, verified, and time-stamped records (ex: pick/drop zip, tender date, pick date, drop date, linehaul, fees, length of haul, and more) for EVERY transaction making up the 1-day, 3-day, 7-day, 15-day, and 30-day rates for a given lane.

Is it easy to upgrade from Silver to Gold?
Yes! Simply upgrade your subscription in the ‘subscription’ tab of your user profile. Your Silver membership will be converted, and your account will be charged for Gold moving forward. If you have days (or months) left on your subscription for Silver, we will prorate that amount to upgrade you to a Gold subscription.
