We felt it important to reach out now to reiterate how much we value all what you bring to ASTM through your membership and engagement. We recognize these are uncertain times for many of you, especially those working with the U.S. federal government. While it pales in comparison to the impact this disruption may be having on you personally, the current environment has also been disruptive to our standards development process. We want you to know that we are here to support your continued participation.
While our work together is driven by technical considerations, standards development at ASTM is still about people from industry, government, and other organizations uniting in purpose to learn from one another and reach a consensus. It is this type of public/private collaboration that makes the ASTM consensus process so dynamic and successful.
It is our hope that we can navigate these disruptions and challenges together and look forward to continuing our collaboration.
